Determinarea gradului de steatoză hepatică

1000.00 MDL

We remind you that independent interpretation of the results is unacceptable, the information provided below is for reference purposes only.

Liver steatosis assessment is a modern, non-invasive examination that allows evaluation of the amount of fat in the liver and detection of fatty infiltration at early stages. The procedure is performed using specialized diagnostic equipment and helps determine the degree of fatty liver disease without the need for a biopsy.

This examination allows the physician to assess liver condition, identify possible metabolic disorders, and determine the most appropriate monitoring or treatment strategy. The method is safe, painless, and suitable for regular monitoring of liver health.

Indications

  • suspected fatty liver disease
  • overweight or obesity
  • diabetes mellitus
  • elevated liver enzymes in blood tests
  • metabolic syndrome
  • regular alcohol consumption
  • monitoring liver condition in chronic diseases
  • monitoring treatment effectiveness

Procedure / duration

The examination is performed on an outpatient basis and does not require hospitalization. During the procedure, the patient lies on their back while the specialist performs measurements using a special probe in the liver area.

The procedure is painless and usually takes about 10–15 minutes. The results are typically available immediately after the examination.

Contraindications

The method is considered safe and has minimal limitations.

  • In some cases, the examination may be more difficult:
  • in cases of severe obesity
  • in the presence of fluid in the abdominal cavity (ascites)
  • if the patient is unable to remain still during the procedure

The final decision regarding the examination is made by the physician.

Rehabilitation / limitations

No recovery period is required after the procedure.

The patient can immediately return to their normal lifestyle, work, and daily activities.

Advantages

  • modern diagnostic equipment
  • high accuracy in assessing the degree of liver steatosis
  • experienced specialists
  • fast and comfortable procedure
  • quick availability of results
  • possibility of comprehensive liver diagnostics

Iron IonsEach heme group contains an iron ion

The degree of hepatic steatosis can range from mild to severe, and it is classified based on the percentage of liver cells affected by fat accumulation. As the condition progresses, it can lead to inflammation and scarring of the liver, potentially progressing to more severe conditions such as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and cirrhosis.
