Removal of multiple benign neoplasms (lipoma, sebaceous cyst, ganglion cyst)

In general, it is not necessary to fast if the procedure is performed under local anesthesia. If general anesthesia is a possibility, you will be told not to consume food or liquids for 6–8 hours beforehand. On the day of the intervention, perform a complete general toilet (shower). Do not apply creams, oils, powders or deodorants to the area to be operated on. The area must be clean and dry. Do not stop current treatments without your doctor's advice. Tell your doctor if you are taking anticoagulants (eg Aspirin, Thrombostop, Warfarin), anti-inflammatories or natural supplements that can affect blood clotting. If necessary, the doctor will indicate the temporary suspension of these drugs. Bring with you: medical records and previous investigations (ultrasound, MRI, tests, biopsies), vaccination record (to check the tetanus vaccine). If you have a fever, active infections or acute conditions (flu, cold), notify the doctor before the intervention. Avoid alcohol consumption and intense physical exertion on the day of the procedure.
